Sarah has been in Trebs since the beginning of her time in College Park, and she can’t imagine who she would be without this group of beautiful souls. She left them, only for a semester, to live abroad in Torino, Italy, where she studied business and (elementary) Italian. Although she’s thrusting herself into the chokehold of corporate America after graduation, she hopes to soon open an environmentally (and financially – duh) sustainable business. She’s thinking a local, small-scale music venue with some killer food and a charming patio, but jury is out. No matter where she ends up, she will always feel grateful for the home Trebs has given her in school and the friends she will keep for years to come.
Farah couldn't feel luckier to have joined Trebs when she came to the University of Maryland four years ago. Not only has she grown musically through her involvement in Trebs and the a cappella community, she has grown as a person and learned so much about life from singing with her soul sisters. Outside of Trebs, Farah is involved in research and is a TA in her honors program. She is passionate about Slices pizza, turtlenecks, classical piano, stomping, and, most of all, her friendships. While she is still unsure about what she wants to do post-graduation, she hopes to keep music a huge part of her life and plans to come to Trebs and Gs concerts as an alum. Farah has been honored to spend so much time in the presence of the smart, kind, motivated, caring, strong, and thoughtful women of the UMD Treblemakers. Go Terp/bs!
Lena has been in love with Trebs since the moment she walked into the audition room. She loves fashion and style, and her favorite moments in life are oftentimes reading her biology textbook in the middle of the night (no lie). She loves animals and hopes to open up an animal sanctuary one day in the future. Aside from that, she has a life goal of becoming a doctor and living someplace in Europe. She has no concept of what a world without the members of Trebs would be like, and has no intention of ever finding out. Lena has found her purest and most authentic friendships through Trebs and has made memories that show her what it means to enjoy life and be happy. Singing with Trebs is an indescribable joy and she is so grateful every time she walks into rehearsal to have come back, again and again, to her best friends.
BRUH, Gil is thrilled to start her second semester with the trebs. Even though she hasn’t been in the group too long, Gil knows that she has found her forever home here with the trebs. With all the stress from school Gil loves ending the days by singing and having fun with some of her best friends here at UMD. Gil is a sophomore majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Sustainability (yeet). In the future, she hopes to work at the Walt Disney World as an Imagineer designing new attractions, resorts, and parks. When she isn’t talking about Disney, Gil can be found watching Vine compilations to keep her from ending it all (rip vine :/), buying more comfort colors shirts that she doesn’t need, watching rom coms, or crying. Gil can’t wait to see what the future hold for trebs and is excited for them to grow as a group.
Jess can't believe she is in her final semester as a Treb and a Terp! She has been in Trebs ever since she was a wee freshman and continues to fall in love with each and every new member and the fun new dynamic they bring to trebs :) As off campus business manager, Jess loves organizing visits with other groups and planning fun trips with her bffs. When she's not singing notes so low she might as well be a Generic, Jess enjoys being in nature, doing yoga, and traveling. Jess spent a semester away from Trebs studying abroad in Ecuador, where she lived on a remote island, ate bugs, cuddled with spiders, and didn't shower for a month. :) This terb hopes to one day get her PhD in Marine Biology and work to save our wonderful earth and its beautiful oceans, but hopes that music always plays a huge role in her life.
Reeya is just a new little bean, but loves trebs with every ounce of her existence:) She came into college feeling like something was missing, and the trebs (and the crazy Gs) have filled that hole for her. They are the best friends a girl could ever ask for, and she's thankful to be a part of such a bright, FUN, loving, and talented group of women. When Reeya isn't studying in Mckeldin, you will 100% find her talking about her beautiful golden retriever Jeevan - aka trebs mascot. She also LOVES makeup, and will likely force you to put lipstick or glitter eyeshadow on if you spend too much time with her. While at UMD she hopes to travel and spend a semester or two abroad, exploring Europe and the world, and in the future she wants to be a criminal lawyer or work in the juvenile justice system. She's a busy chic, but beyond grateful that she has the best friends/Trebs to help her through it all!
Stefanie’s greatest life decision was joining the Trebs. Over the past two semesters she has already fallen in love with the Trebs gang and has had an incredible time singing with such talented and genuine ladies. Besides singing and making Trebs giggle, Stef enjoys painting, playing guitar (very mediocre-ly), being outside (even though she has an irrational fear of bugs), and getting lost in Youtube. She hopes to be legally married to her English shepherd doggies one day. In the future, Stef aspires to be a superb elementary school teacher and change little kiddos’ lives!
Brianna has been in Trebs since her first semester at UMD, and she honestly can't imagine her life without it. Since the first day she stepped into the basement of JMZ, she realized this would be her forever family. When she's not singing, odds are you'll probably find Bri in the dance studio, or trying to be at 3 different places at once. She's passionate about performing, baking, cats, and of course her friends and family. After graduation, Brianna hopes to spend time out in the performance world of dance, considering places like Broadway and Disney World. She feels so lucky that she still has 2 more years left with these beautiful angel beans and can't wait to see how Trebs continues to shape her life.
Jewel feels such an excitement and honor to be in Trebs for a second semester. She joined Trebs Fall 2017, when she transferred here from Community College. Trebs is the perfect place for anyone who has an appreciation for music. Jewel loves R&B more than anything else in the world, so trebs feels like home to her. When she’s not jamming out with her fellow Trebs, she’s stu-dying sociology with the hopes of getting her masters and then going to law school. Her goal in life is to become a Supreme Court Justice and re-program the Criminal Justice System. In the meantime you can peep her working hella jobs, like Serving at the Melting Pot, and Concessions at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Like any other sane human being she loves bingeing TV-shows; her faves include How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, and Being Mary Jane. She loves Mac & Cheese but to her downfall is Lactose Intolerant. She’s overall an undercover weirdo but fun and loveable. Trebs has become such a big part of her life and she wouldn’t give it up for anything.
Emma cannot begin to express her gratitude to every other woman in this group for fostering an incredible community devoted to learning, loving, and growing together as musicians and women. Though her relationship with singing and music has endured since she learned to talk, she never before knew the level of passion she would develop with Trebs by her side. When she isn’t rehearsing with Trebs, she is hanging out with Trebs or crying in public places with Trebs. She loves denim, jazz, chik’n nuggets, G&T’s, theatre, and Shoshana Bean. UMD has been a nurturing home to her since she transferred here in fall 2017, but when she graduates she hopes to pursue a masters in social work or her PhD in psychology and then be the best mom ever. She is watergating. Xoxo
Jillian has been blessed to be in Trebs since the beginning of her Freshman year. In addition to finding a place at UMD to be artistic and continue her passion for music, she has found a group of supportive, talented, and likeminded girls to spend her weeks with. Jill is majoring in bioengineering and taking on a Pre-Medical track with the goal of attending medical school. Her life goal is to become a physician to care for and help others. If you can't find her, chances are she is on campus doing work and counting down the seconds until she can leave. When she is not agonizing in the dreaded McKeldin, she is probably napping, baking or watching the most recent episode of the Bachelor. Without the help of Trebs, Jill would have an unfilled void and her experience here would most definitely not be the same.
Although Shannon hasn’t been in Trebs very long, she is absolutely sure that she’s found her new family. These girls make her smile until her face hurts and laugh until she pees. She is so unbelievably honored to be part of such an amazing group of women and cannot wait to spend her next three years at UMD building a stronger bond with them. Aside from singing and taking an excessive amount of naps, Shannon can be found either in a lab coat or stuffing her face with chocolate (not an exaggeration). This girl has got some big plans of one day becoming an orthopedic surgeon so she can help those in need and prove that a tiny girl can do a tough job (while wearing a dress under her scrubs of course). Knowing that she’s gonna be in school until the end of eternity, Shannon is excited to have Trebs by her side to keep her sane. Never before has she belonged to such an incredible sisterhood and her love for each and every one of them grows every day.
Danielle has been head over heels for Trebs since she first auditioned her freshman year. She is a Junior journalism major, hoping to one day come to a TV station near you reporting on your favorite sports teams. Danielle comes from Boston and probably won’t let you forget it. Aside from singing, you can catch Danielle running from Maryland Stadium to the Xfinity Center covering Maryland athletics for her TV show, watching the same two movies on repeat, whipping (and nay nay-ing) up new recipes in the kitchen, convincing friends to come to Body Pump at the gym, and thinking up puns left and right. She is currently studying abroad in Barcelona for the semester and is loving every minute while traveling through (and eating her way through) Europe. However, she misses her Trebs more than anything else. What Danielle loves most about Trebs is that it is more than just a singing group, but a family that made her feel accepted and loved from the first day.
Mia is a treb until death, in fact she might be the most treb treb since treb. Mia is most well known for her denim apparel, forehead kisses, and her tendency to not know that we are off key. Mia has a really big mouth (physically, not theoretically) which makes her a pretty good singer, but she was mostly just accepted into the group because she used to have an eyebrow piercing. Mia has served as the business manager/treasurer and also the social chair (a position she made up). Mia’s favorite quote is: “don’t do whatever you like, like whatever you do”:)
Rachel knew that Trebs was her family from the moment she walked into her initial auditions. Since joining in the fall of 2015, she has grown to be a much stronger, musically adept, confident, and kind woman. Rachel feels so blessed every day to have found her best friends and her sisters through Trebs! After she graduates college in 2019, Rachel hopes to return back to Spain (where she is currently studying) and teach English to children with special needs. She can’t wait to live with two of her best friends from Trebs during her senior year next year. She looks forward to always having Trebs as huge a part of her life.
